In the following verses of Psalm 119, observe the association between delight and meditation.
- vs 15 – “I will meditate on thy precepts . . . “
- vs 16 – “I shall delight in thy statutes . . . “
- vs 23 – “. . . Thy servant meditates.”
- vs 24 – “Thy testimonies also are my delight . . . “
- vs 47 – “I shall delight in Thy Commandments . . . “
- vs 48 – “. . . I will mediate on Thy statues.”
- vs 77 – “. . . Thy Law is my delight.”
- vs 78 – “May the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me with a lie; but I shall mediate on Thy precepts.
