Greetings!
Thank you for yarping for us! Please continue to yarp! Father is working. At University, we are involved with a couple of programs that help students practice their English. I am very thankful for this opportunity because we are able to make friends easily and schedule plans. I am encouraged by the group’s initiative to make a lot of friends and share truth with them.
My friend Phil is kind and helpful! We have eaten a lot of meals together and have talked about Father. I got to share with him what Father did for us! He wants to continue to think about the decision more and wants to learn about the Good Book. Please yarp that he would put his life in Father’s hands. Our friend Ryan has been connecting with our local friends from SD which is awesome! Please yarp for him and that he would come to know J. I have built a strong bond with the skateboarders on campus. Yarp that I rely on Father when going deeper with my conversations and share Father with them.

PR
– Against attacks from the enemy and that the team would put on the full armor of G in order to take our stand.
– Some students are not available to meet up because of studying/going home on the weekends. Yarp that they would find time to meet and that we would be persistent with investing in them with the time we have.
– For wisdom with leading the group

SOPHIE
Hey all you wonderful people!

Man, I cannot believe that our trip is fast approaching the half way point! gasps in disbelief. This week has been a bit of a roller coaster but Father is good and faithful and it has been so cool to see him working in student’s lives here. One story I want to highlight is about my friend Thera. I met Thera last week because she reached out to Maddy and I, asking us to help judge an English speaking competition. She has grown up hearing the G a little bit and has a grandmother in San Diego who is a believer. We were asking Father to give us an opportunity to get more time with her before she had to leave to go to America…and he did!! We got to hangout with her just two days before she left and Father really helped guide our conversation. We got to share the full G with her as well as our own stories. She is really open to talking about the G but has yet to make the decision to PRC. Please lift up that Father would continue to work in her heart, draw her close to him, and bring more people into her life who can keep investing in her.

JOSHUA
Hey everyone I want to keep it simple for this one… this last week has been great and at the same time I have been a little discouraged. I missed a really good opportunity to share the G and a few other things happened that made it tough. So please be yarping for courage and intentionality as I seek to obey what Father want me to do. I believe your yarps work and I am humbled and grateful that you are taking the time to lift us up. Joshua, Oliver, Nicholas, and Zero are a few guys I’m really wanting to share with. Thanks🤠🌏

MADDY
I can’t believe our second week is over! This week was Dragon Festival Week, so quite a bit of my friends went home for the weekend, but Father was able to help me meet up with the new friends I had just met this week. This past week, I’ve made some new friends! Their names are Cloris, Ann, Thera, Estelle and Kay. I’ve spent multiple days with these girls getting to know them, talking with them, and seeing where they are in life. Father has done some incredible things this week. When Sophie and I hung out with Kay, we were able to tell her all about the Christmas story and all of the Easter story. It was such an unexpected opportunity to share the full G with her and Father led that all the way. When we asked what she believed in, she said she had grown up believing in Buddha and still did. But we are spending time with her more and more, so I’m excited to grow in friendship with her. All throughout the week, I’ve also been able to have a lot of good and interesting conversations with my friend Ann. She‘s been Buddhist for a year now and is pretty firm in her belief. Nonetheless she’s been open to talk about it, so I’ve been able to share my story and JC multiple times. On Saturday, Sophie and I ran into her while we were walking, and we got into another spiritual conversation. I asked what she thinks happens after we die, and she said we come back based on the good things we do on Earth. But overall she said she doesn’t care or worry about it. It was really hard for us to hear her say that, especially when we have told her what is true. However, we know Father can do anything, and we are continuing to yarp for her and share our stories with her.

-For Kay: please yarp that we would be faithful in asking more questions about her belief and that her heart would soften and really understand how the full G can impact her life.
-For Ann: please yarp that the walls in her heart that she has built up would break down so she can fully understand the G, and that Father would reveal Himself to her because He’s the only one who can save her

-For me: please yarp for endurance through the long days and that my friendships would grow stronger

ANGEL
This past week has definitely been different. I have been continuing to invest in certain students alongside Ryan such as our mutual friends Bevan, Marcus, and Noah (English names were given by us). We have been able to share a bit about our beliefs with Bevan. I have also been getting to know Yu Siyun who I met when he took my tea order and asked for my contact. A more recent person I have grabbed food with is Tony who is currently a freshman and loves to read. Father continues to provide opportunities to meet people and to identify with Him. We have also gotten to know believers here whose presence is really encouraging.

PR
– That I will be bold in sharing more and more with the friends I have been making
– That the hearts of those I have been building friendships will be prepares by Father.
– That we can clearly communicate the good news without the language barrier being an issue.
I have been experiencing many bloody noses due to the dryness and pollution and I don’t want that to keep being a distraction.
